Improvements to QuickBooks 2013

QuickBooks Pro & Premier 2013 and Enterprise Solutions 13.0 have a whole new look from previous versions. From the home page that now has a white background with larger icons to the addition of the ribbon interface (that enables you to quickly accomplish common tasks from 13 transaction forms), there are a lot of changes. The new left icon bar combines the formerly top icon bar with shortcuts to: “My Apps”, your “To Do list”, current balances, favorite reports, open windows, & additional subscription services like payroll or merchant card services. If you don’t like the position of the icon bar to be on the left, simply minimize it or with revision R4 it can be moved back up to the top.

Although Charlie introduced this article in Sept, 2012; if you are using QuickBooks 2012 or earlier and wondering if you should upgrade, you will see that there are a lot of improvements that could make it a good move.
